Jimmy Buffett is a musician who has contributed greatly to the mass appeal of the sport and lifestyle of sailing. Jimmy Buffett is an American musician, author, actor and businessman who is also an avid sailor. His songs have captured the joys of the sailing culture and have provided the soundtrack for millions of sailors worldwide. He is best known for his music, which often portrays an “island escapism” lifestyle, and the often humorous things he has experienced through his life sailing and travelling. Together with his Coral Reefer Band, Buffett has recorded hit songs including Margaritaville and Son of a Son of a Sailor.
