Robbie
1962 –
Robert “Robbie” Daniel has an extensive string of North American, national, and world championship victories in a variety of catamaran classes. He has been a member of the U.S. Olympic Sailing Team several times and has worked in the sailing industry since 2006 to develop product as well as design layout for the AHPC boats. He has coached many Olympic athletes from different countries including the Caymans, Germany, Brazil, China, and Belgium. Matthew Whitehead, Taylor Reiss, Katie Flood, Sarah Streater, Catherine Shanahan and David Hein campaigned the N17 for the Olympics under his tutelage. Robbie started sailing at the age of 12 and began winning regattas at the age of 15. Since then he has sailed in over 400 events and has over 200 first place finishes. Daniel heads up Red Gear Racing, a world-wide coaching program specializing in catamaran racing, where he mentors and coaches catamaran youth sailors. Accomplishments and Awards
