  • First set a World Speed Record in 2008
  • Set a new outright world speed record in 2010 in Luderitz, Namibia
  • Twice made the short list for Rolex Yachtsman of the Year (2010, 2012)
  • Shortlisted for ISAF World Sailor of the Year (2011)
  • n 2008 Rob founded the North American Speed Sailing Project (NASSP), creating a group of athletes intent on competing in speed sailing events internationally. The goal of NASSP is to set records, win events and bring speed sailing titles back to American shores
  • Through his testing and development Rob created a new class within speed sailing, using “GS” or giant speed boards, boards that are capable of sailing two and one half the speed of the wind
  • 3X World Champion –
    • 2012 in Salin-de-Giraud, France
    • 2016 in Martha’s Vineyard, USA
    • 2018 in Masirah, Oman
