- n 2008 Rob founded the North American Speed Sailing Project (NASSP), creating a group of athletes intent on competing in speed sailing events internationally. The goal of NASSP is to set records, win events and bring speed sailing titles back to American shores
- Through his testing and development Rob created a new class within speed sailing, using “GS” or giant speed boards, boards that are capable of sailing two and one half the speed of the wind
