Barton Williams Benedict Jahncke is an American sailor and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, where he received a gold medal in the dragon class as crew member (with George Friedrichs and Gerald Schreck) on Williwaw.
He is a lifetime sailor and member of Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has actively raced many types of sailboats, including the Fish Boat, Penguin, Luders-16, Star, Finn, Soling, Dragon, and different PHRF boats. Since winning his Olympic Medal, he has remained active in the US Olympic movement.

1996, Was the sole torch bearer for the Olympic Torch when it passed through New Orleans
