CHESAPEAKE BAY BERMUDA-40 ASSOCIATION BECOMES NSHOF FOUNDING MEMBER

From the Commodore:

"The National Sailing Hall of Fame continues to support the Chesapeake Bay Bermuda-40 Association in making our cruises to Annapolis memorable events. In appreciation of this camaraderie and the mission of NSHOF, Past Commodore Dick Cooper initiated a campaign to make the CBB-40 Association a Founding Member Club. The enthusiastic response from our membership, The Hinckley Company, and our own treasury allowed the Association to reach our goal."

F. Albert Boersma

History

Henry R. Hinckley & Co. began production of the Bermuda 40 in 1959 with hull # 1 - HUNTRESS. The B-40 established Hinckley as the premier North American builder of exceptional quality fiberglass sailing yachts. Over 200 Bermuda 40s have been built.

Membership in the CBB40 Association is open to anyone who owns or has owned a Hinckley sailboat, usually the classic Bermuda-40. Members do not need to live in the Chesapeake Bay area. The Association has members from all along the East Coast, several on the West Coast, and two from overseas.
