Founded in 1886, The Shelter Island Yacht Club is among the dozen oldest yacht clubs in the United States. Located in Dering Harboron at the far eastern end of Long Island, New York, on Shelter Island, the club boasts a vibrant and active junior sailing program as well as one of the largest Herreshoff H12-½ and Etchells fleets in the country.
