1953 -

President of J-Class Management and founder of the International Yacht Restoration School, Elizabeth Meyer has restored over 80 classic yachts and worked to encourage historic preservation in the sailing community.

 

Honors and Accomplishments:

  • President of J-Class Management
  • Restored 80 classic yachts, notably J-Class, Endeavor
  • Founded the International Yacht Restoration School in 1993
  • Received the President’s Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation
  • 2011, Don Turner Award from the USS Constitution Museum for her work in maritime preservation
  • 1975-1993 owned the Concordia yawl Matinicus; authored books on the Ray Hunt-designed class
  • n 1996, restored Seminole, a 1916 Lawley-built 47 ft gaff yawl
